Your First Visit
At your first dental visit, the staff at Aesthetic Dental of Barbados will meet with you to discuss your dental health goals and expectations. With the latest tools and techniques, Dr. Clarke and his staff will assess your dental health, make any necessary dental records, and then determine your needs and develop a treatment plan accordingly. Dental Emergencies
Aesthetic Dental of Barbados provides priority care to those who have experienced a dental emergency. Dental emergencies can involve anything from a knocked out tooth to a bitten tongue and can cause panic. However, if you or your child experiences a dental emergency, it is important to stay calm and apply a cold compress to the area in order to reduce swelling. Then, contact our office as soon as possible.
Preventing Tooth Decay
Plaque is one of the biggest causes of tooth decay. Unfortunately, plaque creates an environment in which bacteria can flourish. This can lead to the erosion of tooth enamel, causing infection and, in some cases, tooth loss. At Aesthetic Dental of Barbados, we provide patients from St. Vincent and other locations with specialty dentures or dental implants should tooth loss take place. The ultimate goal of our treatment, however, and the reason we continuously educate our patients about plaque, is to prevent tooth loss from taking place at all. Plaque can be caused by foods that are rich in sugar and carbohydrates. This can include soda, some juices, candies, pasta, bread, and cereal.
